What is a Landing Page?
A landing page is typically a single page that is only accessible via a link in an email. As an example, you may have a special offer on a product or service. This offer is only available to the people you have segmented from your Contact database. The link in the email will drive people directly to your landing page. The landing page will generally look exactly like a page from your website, the only difference being that it’s hosted by Oracle through your instance of ODM or FUSION Marketing.
As you would expect, very specific reporting is available about who has “clicked through” from the email to the landing page providing your staff with a greater level of insight than what they may be familiar with if they use Google Analytics.
What is a Microsite?
A microsite is essentially the same as a landing page and Oracle CRM On Demand Marketing and FUSION Marketing both deliver all of the same features, however this time it relates to a serious of pages. A Microsite will still have a landing page, think of it as a “Home Page” for a single and specific campaign.
A good example of a microsite would be a new product launch or perhaps an event. The event microsite could include details about the event, speakers, topics, sponsors and a registration page. All of this data would be to crowded for a single landing page, therefore a microsite is a better solution.
