Oracle Sales Cloud Introduction of common Activity Object

A few weeks ago I awoke at 2 am to jump on a Oracle Conference call to hear about how Oracle introducing a common Activity object that will incorporate Interactions, Tasks and Appointments into a single reportable object within Oracle Sales Cloud.  This was very interesting to hear about how this will work and also allow people to start to report on all these objects once Release 9 is introduced.

There will be an introduction of a new common object with a new API. The new API will be released in R8 for individuals to start leveraging.
