It’s All About The Timing
Like no other technology before it, the internet in concert with email allows very timely delivery of campaigns. Unlike a magazine, where content is prepared sometimes months in advance, an email campaign can deliver a message, prepared at 10am, then delivered at 10:30am into a person’s inbox.
This spam hit my inbox with a Valentines Day promotion, the day after Valentines Day! While we often laugh about the US believing the sun rises in New York and sets in LA, this campaign execution reinforces that stab at humour.
